The U.S. Coast Guard is sponsoring a program to locate and track abandoned and derelict vessels throughout the Maryland and northern Virginia portions of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. The Coast Guard Auxiliary is conducting a pilot project to get the program up and and running, and Coast Guard officials plan to expand it in coming years to include law-enforcement agencies, watermen, and other boating organizations. This is an important part of the Coast Guard's mission in this area. We invite you to look over this website and become familiar with its contents.
